Mindfulness is merely paying attention to the moment, any moment, every moment and bringing that mindful attention to everything you do. When you are great at it after years of practice you will find that you are living a meditative life, when each and every moment counts because you have brought your full attention to it.
So often we are lost in the moment, away with the fairies which sounds so nice, however the reality is often very different. How often are we worrying about what might happen? What we might have, could have, should have done or said? Living in the past or the future is so easy, we do it constantly, living in the moment.. moment by moment seems to be the hardest thing of all.
The changes this one tiny practice can bring to your life and your business are infinite and endless. One of the easiest ways to start to practice is to just make a daily ritual of spending at least five minutes intentionally in the moment... breathe, see what's there in front of you, all around you, see the magic of a tiny flower in the grass, hear the sound of a bird in the tree outside your window, share a smile with the stranger walking past you on the sidewalk. Be in that moment fully, experience everything as if you were a child experiencing it all for the first time, allow the magic of that moment to touch you.
